There seems to be news every day about the newly seeded firmware 2.2 for the iPhone. Yesterday it was the Google’s Street View feature, today it’s the option to rate an application when deleting it.

Recently a Greek Language website, iPhone Hellas, reported that in the new firmware version 2.2 a user is now given an application rating screen when they delete an application. After pressing the little “X” to delete an application a “Please rate before deleting” box pops up with a 5 star rating option and a “No Thanks” button.
With all the changes to the rating system to build it fair on the developers, that suggests to us that Apple is not happy with the amount of rating they are receiving at that instance. We do not think that that method will accurately depict the applications worth as most public will either hit 1 star considering they did not like it or just randomly choose a rating just to bypass the screen. At any rate there does not seem to be any happy medium with the application rating system.

The developers of Documents to Go—and Microsoft Office Documents editor for BlackBerry, Palm, Windows Mobile, and Symbian—are finally bringing the application to the iPhone. It will be interesting to see how that is going to work, given the iPhone lacks basic editing capabilities.

Editing capabilities like copy and paste are critical to editing documents of any kind in programs including Word, ability Point and Excel. It is a wonder how the multi-touch capabilities of the iPhone are going to be implemented into that application. With the ability to edit documents with the iPhone there is less for public to complain about.
Here is a list of features supported in Documents to GO:

Reasons for super high failure rates include 1) cameras are rushed to market so fast they don’t take the moment for reliability tests; and 2) there are “still no relevant major standards for digital cameras” in China.

Singing Pumpkins [App Store link] is a simple little holiday app for Halloween. Tap on the pumpkins to take in them sing – they aren’t the most talented vocalists around but they are pretty cute and just spooky decent to help get you in the Halloween mood. So tap away and see whether you can lead them in song. Be warned though, sometimes they don’t behave so well and might say things that surprise you.
