According to rumors, HTC company is developing a Vision smartphone, which is the version of the Desire model with a sliding QWERTY-keyboard. The device, running Google Android software platform, will be equipped with a WVGA-screen of unknown diagonal. The combination of these characteristics may now be found only in two HTC devices: Desire and Nexus One models

O2 UK has finally released the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus. Palm Pre Plus should become available for £99 on a £25 price plan with a 24-month contract, and free on plans starting at £35 per month, while Pixi Plus will cost £49 on the £25 plan, and will be free on plans starting at £30 per month. Both handsets feature Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, an integrated GPS, a USB mass storage mode, a desktop-class web browser, an accelerometer, a Proximity sensor, a Light sensor, High-speed connectivity features, universal search, and fast access to the Palm App catalog, from where users can download a great deal of applications for their mobile phones. The Aeolus Phone concept by industrial designer Cyrene Quiamco allows users to charge their cell phone anywhere at any instance. The concept uses renewable energy such as wind potential and solar potential to charge its integrated battery. The Aeolus features a potential generating fan that will capture even the slightest breeze to produce energy. There is additionally a built-in solar panel to recharge the phone’s battery. Cyrene Quiamco claims that the phone can be built from renewable materials. What’s more, the Aeolus can plus be attached to a bicycle or on the window of a car with a special tripod in order to capture more energy while you are on the go.

Acer has officially confirmed the availability of the Acer Stream Android-powered smartphone. The phone is powered by Android 2.1 (Eclair) with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 512MB RAM, a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, HSDPA, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity. The phone provides a 2GB of internal memory, which is upgradable via a microSD memory card slot. The Acer Stream plus has a 5-megapixel digital camera that doubles up as a 720p HD video camcorder. Additional features include a GPS navigation, an HDMI port, UPnP and DLNA. Too poor, there is no info on pricing at that moment. Watch a preview video after the jump to get more details.
