O2 UK is preparing to launch the all new Samsung Galaxy Mini Android smartphone on their network that coming March. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t given any info yet concerning its price. Just to remind you, the Samsung Galaxy Mini packs a 3.14-inch 320 x 240 touchscreen display, a 600MHz processor, a 3.0-megapixel autofocus camera, a 160MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, an FM radio, GPS, an accelerometer sensor, Bluetooth, WiFi, a 1200mAh battery and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. The new Samsung Galaxy S II i9100 Android Gingerbread smartphone will be available in mid or late March 2011. The 16GB version is priced at £510 ($820) without VAT, or for £612 ($984) with VAT, while the 32GB version costs £590 ($949) without VAT, and £708 ($1,139) with VAT. These prices are subject to change. As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy S II is the company’s first Android 2.3 handset that features a dual-core processor and a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. HTC has finally confirmed the availability of the Merge Android CDMA phone. The phone will be available with “multiple North American carriers beginning in Spring 2011.” The new HTC Merge features a 3.8-inch touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera with AutoFocus and 720p video recording, GPS, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. ASUS has collaborated with Marvell to develop TD-SCDMA smartphones in China. ASUS is ready to launch the new T10 and T20 smartphones initially. Both handsets are powered by the OPhone OMS system, which is actually a modified version of Android operating system. The company will additionally release more smartphones later that year. These upcoming smartphones will feature 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity. [Slashphone]
