Q: What has happened? A: Today Microsoft has announced their net profit for the first calendar quarter of 2011. Their net profit was $5.23 billion. Q: So? A: Well, that is $760 million dollars less than Apple’s $5.99 billion net profit by the same period.  It is the first date that Apple has surpassed Microsofts profit. Q: Wauw! But…we knew that already or not? A: For those keeping track, first Apple has surpassed Microsoft in market capitalization. And that is not real money, it is just a number wnext could get in your pocket. A profit number is real money what you have in your pocket! I think greater profit finally justifies the greater market capitilization. Apple earns profit from the sales of the iPhone GS and iPhone 4, iPad 1 and 2. iPods, Apple TV 2, Apps, iTunes music and video and the complete Mac OS hardware and Software products iMac, Macbook Air, Macbook pro etc. While Microsoft is into the software licenses. Quotes from fellow bloggers you may interested in are:

Samsung has introduced three new dual SIM phones for the Russian market namely the Samsung C3322, E2232 and E1182. The Samsung C3322 features a 2.2-inch display, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 2MP camera and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The Samsung E2232 has a 1.8-inch display, an MP3 player, a 3.5mm headset jack, a flashlight and a microSD card support. And finally, the Samsung E1182 is a basic phone that comes jam packed with a small display, an FM radio and a battery that provides up to 11-hour of talk-time or up to 620-hour of stand-by instance. Motorola EX130 Touchscreen Phone

Here’s a look at another upcoming touchscreen phone from Motorola, the EX130. The handset is said to feature two displays: a 2.8-inch QVGA display and a one-line 96 x 16 OLED monochrome display below it, a 128MB of internal memory and a 64MB RAM. A cool concept product turned up today that combines a record player with an iPhone dock. The concept would have an amp and speakers inside and could rip those vinyl tracks to MP3 for you.

Apple is rumored to have purchased a domain name from another company called iCloud.com. Sources close to the deal say that Apple paid $4.5 million and the domain would be the new cloud music offering Apple has been rumored to be at work on.

SlashGear spent a bit of hands on time with the white iPhone 4 today thanks to pals at Vodafone. that is the first duration we have laid hands on the smartphone since WWDC in 2010 when it was new and before all the delays.
