SaskTel has launched the HTC Wildfire S in Canada. Powered by an 800MHz processor, that entry level Android smartphone features the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with HTC Sense UI, and a 5-megapixel camera. Vodafone is preparing to release a new Facebook phone on their network called the Vodafone 555 Blue. The handset will feature a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 landscape display, a 200MHz MediaTek processor, a 2MP camera with flash, a full physical QWERTY keyboard, a 40MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, Facebook integration, an FM radio, a music player, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3.5mm headset jack and a 1000mAh battery. KDDI has introduced the Fujitsu IS12T Windows Phone 7.5 (aka Mango) smartphone in Japan. The water resistant handset features a 13.2-megapixel camera, a 3.7-inch WVGA screen, a Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a 32GB of storage space. It seems that AT&T will launch the BlackBerry Torch 9860. that smartphone has been spotted with AT&T branding. FYI, the BlackBerry Torch 9860 has a 3.7-inch (800 x 480) display, a near-field communication chip, a magnetic compass, a portable Wi-Fi hotspot operate, a 1.2Ghz processor, and a 768 MB of RAM. The handset sports a 2.8-inch 240 x 320 touchscreen display, a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor, a 256MB RAM, a 512MB of flash storage, a microSD card slot, a 2.0-megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Android 2.2.1 Froyo OS. The MTS 950 sells for 4,990 Rubles (about $181) with the MTS’s tariff plan or 5,490 Rubles (about $199) without the MTS’s tariff plan. [MTS]
