ARCHOS 55 Graphite

ARCHOS has just added another 4G LTE-enabled Android 7.0 smartphone ’55 Graphite’ to its line-up. Measuring 7.8mm thick, that mid-range smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 HD 2.5D curved glass display, a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor, a Mali-T720 GPU, a 2GB RAM and a 16GB of expandable internal storage (up to 128GB).

Coming with dual SIM card slots, the handset packs a 5MP front-facing camera, dual rear-facing cameras (13MP + 2MP secondary) with LED flash, a fingerprint sensor on the back, a USB 2.0 Type-C port and a 3000mAh battery.

Swipe Konnect Star

Swipe Technologies has recently launched a new 4G LTE-enabled Android 6.0 smartphone namely the Konnect Star. Coming in Silver, Gold and Grey color options, that entry-level smartphone packs a 4.0-inch 850 x 480 FWVGA display, a 1GHz quad-core processor, a 1GB RAM and a 16GB of expandable internal storage (up to 32GB).

Equipped with dual SIM card slots, the handset sports a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 5MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, an FM radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a 1800mAh battery.

2017 has started with tons of eye candy for tech enthusiasts. The year’s first major tech event, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), has started just days after the New Year’s party, making certain all tech savvy partygoers have sufficient new stuff ready for when the hangover finally passes. There are still a few interesting news to take a look at for smartphone enthusiasts, too. that year, one of the most interesting news is Samsung’s new and improved Galaxy A line of handsets.

Why is the Galaxy A series critical? Well, take a look at what most of us use our smartphones for on a daily basis. Under the hood

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) will have a 1.6GHz octa-core SoC with 2GB of RAM, and a 4.7″ HD screen. It will have a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front camera for better selfies. It will have 16GB of internal storage built into it.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) will come with a slightly faster, 1.9GHz octa-core SoC, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. Its 5.2″ screen will have a full HD (1080×1920) resolution and a 424ppi pixel density. Its main camera will come with a 16-megapixel sensor, and its front camera will have a similar one. Compared to the above model, it will have additional support for fast battery charging.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will be the top model in the series. It will come with the more forceful Exynos 7880 Octa SoC running at 1.9GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM, it will have 32GB of internal storage, and support for microSD cards up to 256GB. It will have the largest screen of the three – 5.7″ with a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.

All new models will come with goodies like a built-in FM radio tuner, USB Type-C 1.0 connectors, support for Samsung Pay, and Android 6.0.1 running on them.

Huawei has released a new 4G LTE-enabled Android 7.0 smartphone ‘Honor 8 Lite’ in Finland. Adopting a slim metal frame, that mid-range smartphone sports a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, an octa-core Kirin 655 (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) 16nm processor, a Mali T830-MP2 GPU, a 3GB RAM and a 16GB of expandable internal storage (up to 128GB).

Equipped with Hybrid dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD) card slots, the handset has an 8MP front-facing camera, a 12MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, a fingerprint sensor on the glass back and a 3000mAh battery.

Running on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with EMUI 5.0 on top, the Honor 8 Lite provides 4G LTE, 802.11 WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS for connectivity. The Huawei Honor 8 Lite is priced at 269 Euro (about $290) in Gold, Blue, Black and White color options. [FoneArena]
