Beginning that Friday, customers can purchase iPhone 4 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. iPhone 4 will be available for purchase through Apple’s retail and online stores and Apple® Authorized Resellers.

Nothing new, country number 18, South Korea , is not part of the list yet declared earlier. The availability is now officially July 30.

iPhone 4 will be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland that Friday, July 30. Phone 4 is currently available in France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US for a suggested retail price of $199 (US) for the 16GB model and $299 (US) for the 32GB model. iPhone 4 will roll out to many more countries later that year and Apple will announce availability and local pricing for these additional countries at a later term.

Situation: The iPhone 4 is available in several countries now. However, I don’t want to wait for it. I want a iPhone 4 now!. It is likely my favorite telco provider will in now way offer the iPhone 4 and I don’t want to sign a expensive contract for two years with a provider I really don’t like. What I do want is to buy just the device without contract or subscription. And the the iPhone 4 must be Factory Unlocked (aka SIM Lock free) so I am freely to go anytime to any provider.

If you have followed the blogposts and youtube the last 48 hours, you might get the impression the whole world is kind of pointing the finger to the antenna construction of the new iPhone 4. But is it really an issue? and whether the reply is yes, is it a hardware issue?


There are reports of the same Dead Grip symptoms on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS after updating to iOS4 and the reporters are saying it did not had these problems in previous iPhone OS 3. Why is that so interesting? Well, iOS is software and whether that is true that it is caused by iOS 4.0, next that issue can be fixed in iOS 4.0.1 just considering it is software! The ware is soft so it is fixable you understand?


Appleinsider reports that there were forum discussions pointing the problem caused by the iOS 4.0 software. It might switching frequencies differently than before iOS 4.0. Please check that excellent post for the technical nitty gritty stuff.

Just wrap a iBumper around your iPhone 4 or “Just NOT holding your iPhone that way”. And whether you want to avoid scratches in the front or back of your new iPhone 4 next why not additionally stick some iPhone 4 Screen Protector  like invisible shields to protect it. Mean while, let’s wait for iOS 4.0.1 the coming days before making the issues bigger in our head. I trust everything will come OK soon.

This gives hope for the iPhone 4 owners who experiences that issue. The big questions are: Where is Apple currently working on and for how many days must we Stay Tuned for ? Our guess remains unchanged: iOS 4.0.1 or later will fix it? whether you hope for that too, please leave a comment.
