While the iPhone 3G has sold quite a few units since its release in the U.S. and since the subsequent worldly release on August 22, the sales figures are not that positive for Eastern Europe. And even though the sales are in line with what the carriers expected, it’s still a bit of a shock to the rest of us.

The Eastern European carriers for the Czech Republic are T-Mobile and Vodafone and their respective sales figures are about 5,000 units since the iPhone 3G launched. O2 is plus a Czech Republic carrier, but sales info was not available at the moment.

Despite that small number, the iPhone 3G is still selling well in other parts of the world, particularly in the U.S, the U.K. and in Germany.
