A genetically engineered cat named MR. GREEN GENES glows in the dark under ultraviolet light. Scientists at the Audubon Center for Research of Endangered Species in New Orleans created the cat to see whether it’s possible to introduce non-cat genes (in that case, jellyfish genes) into cats as a first step in the development of gene therapies for humans. I want one.
