It looks like the update we’ve all been talking about that will hopefully put the iPhone 3G’s reception issues to rest, is finally here! At approximately 5:00 pm EST, you’ll be able to download Version 2.0.2 (5C1) of the iPhone software from iTunes. I’m not seeing it yet, but I’m certain it’ll be up soon.

This firmware update is rumored to have many a performance bug fixed, along with connection fixes. Those 2% of users experiencing iPhone connection issues, will be paying additional close attention to these connection fixes. Let’s hope they do the trick!

And just so you know, AT&T stores will be receiving a big shipment of iPhone 3Gs tomorrow. However, you might have trouble walking in to get a phone (again) as that shipment is more likely than not meant to fill orders that have already been placed.
