LG Electronics today introduced its new Android system-based smartphone in South Korea. Known as the Andro-1, the handset is actually the second Android-powered smartphone in the South Korean market. The phone is optimized for using the search engine, e-mail and calendar services. The LG Andro-1 features a QWERTY keypad and supports social networking services linked with phone contact lists. It will be available through Korea’s second-largest mobile operator, KT Corp., for 600,000 Won ($529) before subsidies and taxes. [YonHap]
