SHARP hits back by launching their latest 4G LTE-enabled Android 7.1 smartphone, the X1. As part of the Android One series, that waterproof and dustproof smartphone sports a 5.3-inch 1920 x 1080 IGZO LCD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor (4 x Cortex A53 1.4GHz + 4 x Cortex A53 1.1GHz), an Adreno 505 GPU, a 3GB RAM and a 32GB of expandable internal storage (up to 256GB).

Apart from that, the handset additionally packs an 8MP front-facing camera, a 16.4MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, a USB Type-C port and a 3900mAh battery.

Running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, the X1 provides 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/GLONASS for connectivity. The SHARP X1 is priced at 70,524 Yen (about $621) without contract and plus with 24-month contract through carrier Y! mobile. [FoneArena]
